The Staging Lot is located just south of the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) and east of Chicago O’Hare Airport and the Tri State Tollway (I-294). The address of the staging lot is 5440 North River Rd, Des Plaines, Illinois

Northbound

From the Northbound Tri-State Tollway (I-294 ), exit at Balmoral Street.  Go east on Balmoral Street.  The Rosemont Theatre will be on the right. (Note: Balmoral street is an I-Pass only exit)

If you do not have an I-Pass exit I-294 at the O'Hare/River Road exit.  After the toll booth, stay to the left and exit to River Road South.  Take River Road south approximately 4 blocks.  The Rosemont Theatre will be on the right.

 

Southbound or Eastbound

From the Southbound Tri-State Tollway ( I-294 ) and Eastbound I-90 follow the signs for O'Hare and exit at Mannheim Road South.  Proceed south on Mannheim Road and keep to the right.  Re-enter I-90 East to Chicago for about 1 mile.  Exit at River Road South.  The Rosemont Theatre is located approximately 1//2 mile on the right.

 

Westbound

From downtown Chicago go west on the Kennedy Expressway toward O'Hare Airport.  Follow the signs to O'Hare.  Exit at River Road and make a right to head south on Des Plaines River Road.  The Rosemont Theater is approximately 1/2 mile south on the right.

 

PLEASE NOTE!!

 You MUST have a Trailer Parking Pass attached to your trailer in order to use the Marshaling Yard. It is enclosed with this mailing. There are over 700 Exhibitors who must use our Marshaling Yard to park their trailers. It is very important that we maintain an orderly lot so that we are able to safely accommodate everyone. When parking your trailer, please park within 3 feet of the trailer next to you to conserve space for others who arrive after you. There will be NO loading/unloading of vehicles in this lot (it is strictly for parking) so please do not block space for this.

**Also NOTE: During Move In and Move Out times, you can reduce your wait by not bringing your trailer into the Convention Center. You are encouraged to unload/load (Not park) your trailer on any side street marked with a star (see map below)

  1. ARRIVE –Report to the Staging Area at your designated time to have your gas level checked.

Before you arrive: Please display the enclosed Move In Time Sticker Permit by hanging from rearview mirror of  TOW VEHICLE.  It has your designated move in time printed on it.  Your registration number will be affixed to it:    See Sample:

2. When you arrive in Rosemont, IL, DO NOT proceed directly to the Convention Center!  Instead, FIRST REPORT TO THE STAGING LOT next to the Rosemont Theatre-- You will enter the parking lot from TECHNOLOGY BLVD-- ( map above).  GPS address is 5400 North River Rd, Des Plaines, IL. 

Due to Fire Marshall regulations, those who drive directly to the Convention Center will be turned away.

In the Staging Area  a staff member will check your sticker permit for proper move-in time. Please do not arrive earlier than your designated move-in time to avoid an excessive wait in the staging area. The move in time you are assigned is based on your position on the show floor. To avoid traffic jams and accidents while semi trucks and large trailers are moving inside the building we must adhere to these times. You can arrive later than your assigned time, so long as you arrive before the overhead doors are closed and locked

ALL EXHIBITORS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE THURSDAY OR FRIDAY MORNING WILL PROCEED TO THE THEATER STAGING LOT

Exceptions to arriving at the staging lot

 

If you arrive between 12 Noon and 2 PM Friday Nov 22: We will be transitioning the Staging Area from the Theatre to an area inside the Convention Center. Pull into the Theatre Lot and a staff member will instruct you on how to proceed. DO NOT ARRIVE AT THIS TIME IF YOU ARE NOT SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE BEFORE 2PM, You will be turned away.

 

If you arrive at 2 PM or Later Friday Nov 22: Proceed directly to alley behind the Convention Center (see map on bright green paper).  GPS address is approximately 5480 North River Rd, Des Plaines, IL.  The GPS of the Lobby of the Convention Center is at 5555 North River Rd, (although you cannot enter into the lobby), you can use that address for general GPS instructions.  If the alley entry is full, a staff member in a yellow jacket will instruct you on where to go while you wait for us to clear the alley. Do not idle or block River Road if you are unable to enter the alley, or the police will ticket you.

A staff member will check your gas gauge at the staging lot or alley. Vehicles intending to remain in the building for the weekend will only be allowed into the building with 1/4 tank or less of gas (fire regulations). If your gas level exceeds ¼ tank, you will be asked to drive around to burn-off the excess. Due to Fire Regulations- Gas siphoning provisions are not available.

After having your move in time and gas levels checked, a staff member will issue a "Fire Marshall Vehicle Move-In Pass” that allows your vehicle into the Convention Center load in door (See sample below).  Display the Fire Marshall Vehicle Move In Pass facing outward on the dashboard so that it is visible through the windshield.  This pass tells the workers at the Convention Center that your gas level has been checked and your move in time has been verified at the staging lot.

3. MOVE IN –Proceed with your Gas Level pass to the Convention Center

 

You will be instructed to drive into the Convention Center through the back alley. Follow arrows on the enclosed map.  Have your registration number ready to show the greeter at the door (It is printed on your

Tow Vehicle Permit Windshield Sticker and printed on the letter in this mailing).

 

You will be given a page with your assigned spot # on it. You will wait there until the Zone Manager gives further instructions regarding unloading, leads you to your assigned spot, or shows you where to safely park your car while waiting to be taken to your assigned spot.  Keep that assigned spot page on your dashboard visible through your windshield until you park the tow vehicle in the trailer parking lot.  You will show it one more time when you pick up your weekend passes and turn it in at the check in desk to confirm that you are parked in the correct spot. You must park in the spot # assigned to you. The judges & staff will be unable to locate your vehicle if you are not in the assigned spot, and if you compromise a commercial contract, your vehicle and/or products/display will be moved by the MCACN Staff.

4. UNLOAD AND REMOVE YOUR TOW VEHICLE AND TRAILER

AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE- ATTACH TRAILER PARKING PASS TO TONGUE OF TRAILER

In order to keep the show floor clear for vehicles & vendors arriving after you, please unload and remove your tow vehicle and trailer promptly. Do not try to set up your vendor display or detail your vehicle until your truck/trailer is out of the building. It would be ideal if you can bring a second person so that one of you can remove the truck and trailer, while the other person manages the show car or vendor booth items. Take your trailer to the marshalling yard. (See map above) You may leave the truck hooked to the trailer, but no single vehicle units are permitted in the marshaling yard. THERE ARE NO IN/OUT Privileges at the Marshaling Yard, we simply have too many rigs to leave space to drive in and out. If you want to be able to drive your tow vehicle over the weekend, unhook your trailer and park the tow vehicle in your hotel parking lot or the City Lot.  (The Free Shuttle runs continuously) The shuttle will drop you off in front of the Convention Center and when you enter the lobby, you will see the Check In Area. Have your registration # ready Thanks!

 5. COMPLETE REGISTRATION- Pick Up your Weekend Passes  at the Check-In Desk

Report to the Check In Desk:  The “check in desk” is located in the lobby. It is where you pick up your weekend exhibitor passes, and confirm you are parked in the correct spot. Once you have moved into the building, parked your rig in the parking lot, taken the shuttle back to the building and picked up your passes, you have completed the move-in process. 

​

**** If you fail to report to the check in desk by 8PM Friday, you will not be able to gain entry into the building Saturday. You will also be marked absent on judging lists which may result in your vehicle not being judged. Please let us know if you will be unable to check in by 8PM on Friday

​

Extra Tickets: You will receive your allotted number of tickets when you check in.  Additional weekend passes will be offered for sale at a discounted rate of $80 ea, or single day tickets for $40/day  (Tickets at the door Saturday and Sunday will be $45 each per day or $90/weekend, exhibitor passes offer a $10 savings for the weekend) These discounted weekend tickets will ONLY be on sale during Move IN. Discount tickets will NOT be on sale on Saturday or Sunday. Please bring cash, as we will not be accepting checks or credit cards for ticket sales, Thank You! There is an ATM located in the Convention center main lobby.

Extras:

Parking for Cars and Unhooked Tow Vehicles: If you are a registered guest at the Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotel, Crowne Plaza, ALoft, Hilton or Hyatt Regency you can purchase parking passes from your hotel at a discounted rate. OR you can purchase a discounted parking pass from the City of Rosemont for the Parking Structure on Williams Street (Price was $25 in 2023-Subject to change*) Please Note; City Passes available for sale during MOVE IN ONLY –Not available on Saturday or Sunday (CASH ONLY, NO Checks or CC Accepted for City of Rosemont Parking Passes)

Thanks for your patience during this process. In order to open a show to the public we must adhere to the Fire Regulations of the Village of Rosemont. Once you are inside the Convention Center, please be patient as we are trying to move hundreds of trucks and trailers without damaging any cars/property or injuring people. We realize this process can be challenging after a long drive to Rosemont and we thank you for your smile and cooperation. 😊
